UPSC Civil Service Prelims consist of two papers.

1- General Studies (200 Marks)

2- General Aptitute Test (200 Marks)

While general studies paper 2 is qualifying and one needs to score 33% marks to get evaluated.

Paper 1 decides the merit. Based on marks of paper 1,one qualifies for the Mains exam.
